Hiking Heroes Trash Pick UP challenge
WHAT IS IT
The Hiking Heroes Trash Pick Up Challenge is a program to make volunteering and helping the environment easy for student.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Grades 6-12
2. Fairfax County Student
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Pick a Local Park to clean up
2. Bring trash bags and gloves and help clean up the park with friends and family!
3. Take pictures of your progress-we will only accept images with the following:
A picture of you standing next to the official park sign with all the trash you collected from your time at the park.
This is the only required picture but any others signifying your work are welcome!
4. Send an email to
Contents should include:
Name
School
At least the one required image
(make sure hiking heroes has access)
We'd love to feature your photos on our website! If you are okay with this send the following as well:
"I grant Hiking Heroes permission to upload the attached images."
5. For volunteer hours, send a request on x2Vol. Hiking Heroes will only approve 3 hours max per event. Hours will only be approved once the email is received.
